On October 14th, our orchestra students had the incredible opportunity during class to experience a performance by the Balourdet String Quartet, the Quartet-in-Residence with the Seattle Chamber Music Society. Students were able to watch these renowned musicians up close, gaining insight into ensemble playing, tone, and blending.

In addition to the performance, students of the Bellevue High String Quartet (Chloe Chiang, Jerry Zhang, William Liu, and Jeannee Chin) had the privilege of receiving a masterclass from the Balourdet String Quartet. It was a rare and inspiring chance for our students to develop their music skills with the coaching and guidance of professionals.
The Balourdet String Quartet was not just a listening experience, it was a chance for each student to learn from accomplished musicians. Our orchestra is extremely grateful for this special visit and the artistry that they have brought to our classroom. Opportunities like these expand our student's musical horizons, bring diverse experiences to our program, and continue to strengthen our school's orchestra community.
