The Orchestra Boosters

The BHS Orchestra Booster Club or the Boosters is a 501(c)(3) qualified non-profit organization under the umbrella of the Bellevue Wolverine Booster Club with Betsy Johnson as President. All Orchestra parents are automatically members of the Boosters. In our efforts to support BHS Orchestra, we:

  • Support field trips that enhance student musicianship and techniques,
  • Offer financial assistance to Orchestra students in need,
  • Coordinate public performance opportunities for students,
  • Provide meals on bus excursions,
  • Furnish chaperones for overnight trips,
  • Raise visibility and group pride through good-luck signage,
  • Produce performance DVDs, and
  • Promote school and spirit through T-shirts and sweatshirt sales.
We need your help! To volunteer, please come to our monthly meeting every first Tuesdays of the month, 7 p.m. at the BHS Library, or contact any of our Board Members. We are always looking for help from fellow parents.

The Booster Club meets regularly but we are currently changing the venues and time. We will announce the new changes when finalized. We need your participation, ideas, volunteer work and help in raising funds. Please check the email blasts and website calendar for meeting notices.

The Bellevue High Orchestra Booster Club needs you!

The Booster Club is a group of volunteer parents that raises funds to enhance our students' music and learning skills by bringing in professional musicians as coaches, purchasing additional sheet music and providing instruments.

In the past years, the Booster Club has raised funds and received grants to help with extra expenses not covered by the school. Our funds enable students to attend professional performance, supporting field trips that enhance students’ musicianship and techniques, as well as offering scholarships to those students in need. We also work with Mr. Chang, the Orchestra Director to look into opportunities to have our students perform with international conductors as well as other Symphonies.

The Booster Club meets on the last Tuesday of every month at 7:00 pm. We need your participation, ideas, volunteer work and help in raising funds. Please check the Blast emails for meeting notices.
