Mr. Kam joined Bellevue High School as Orchestra Director beginning Fall 2018 and has been with the Bellevue School District since 2012.  Mr. Kam is the Conductor of the Cadet String Orchestra with Bellevue Youth Symphony.  Additionally, Mr. Kam is a first violinist with Tacoma Symphony and Yakima Symphony, and performs in the Lake Chelan Bach Festival every summer.

Mr. Kam can be heard as one of the violinists in Kesha's 2017 single "Praying". In addition to studio recordings, Andrew joins the Trans Siberian Orchestra's winter tour. He has performed at Moda Center (Portland), Key Arena (Seattle), and at the Spokane arena.

Mr. Kam was the guest conductor for the Lake Washington School District's Honors Orchestra in 2017, and he adjudicates large group festivals and Solo & Ensemble every spring.  Mr. Kam also conducts BYSO's Summer Symphony.  He maintains a private violin and viola studio in Bellevue, Washington.

Mr. Kam was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. Before moving to Bellevue in 2011, he lived in Boston, Massachusetts, Eugene, Oregon and Miami, Florida.  Mr. Kam is married to Angie Kam, private violin teacher and Assistant Principal 2nd Violin in Yakima Symphony. Together they enjoy hiking, travelling, and spending time with family and friends.

Mr. Kam earned his Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the University of Miami. He completed his Master of Music in Music Performance at the University of Oregon.
